Masking Guidance by Worksite

As we’ve done throughout the pandemic, we continue to follow CDC guidance, as well as federal, state and local regulations on masking. Please see this full list of masking guidance by facility, which is updated weekly.

The COVID-19 vaccine is safe, fights the spread of the virus and is effective at preventing severe disease, hospitalization and death.
As with many vaccines, protection can wane over time, so stay up to date on your vaccination and let us know when you do.

COVID-19 Vaccination Reporting

Staying up to date on your COVID-19 vaccination helps protect the people you love, your colleagues, those we serve and our communities.

Update your vaccination status or request an exemption below.

How We Are Protecting Our People

We have worked together to create a safe environment for the people we serve and anyone entering our facilities. Now that we have transitioned to a vaccinated on-site workforce, we are evolving our approach to COVID-19 case and symptom reporting for employees.

1

You are only required to report positive COVID-19 cases to Enterprise Occupational Health and Safety (EOHS) if you potentially exposed others through the course of your work.

2

Reporting COVID-19 symptoms or exposures is only required if you work in a clinical setting or have face-to-face contact with members or patients.

3

Telecommuters who do not come to our work sites or interact face-to-face with other colleagues, patients, members, providers or suppliers, are no longer required to report symptoms or positive COVID-19 cases.

Experiencing Symptoms

If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID‑19:

  • Go home if at a work site.
  • Get tested for COVID-19.
  • Communicate with your manager about your ability to work.
  • If symptoms are urgent, seek appropriate medical care.

COVID-19 Exposure

If you have been exposed to COVID-19, follow CDC guidance.

Exposures that occur outside of the workplace should not be reported and do not require a case with EOHS.

COVID-19 Testing Options

A COVID-19 diagnostic test is the only way to rule out an active infection. The following are options for getting tested:

  • Households can order four free tests through the federal government
  • Contact your local pharmacy.
  • See your health care provider.
  • Visit a local testing site.
  • Order a COVID-19 test from the Optum Store.

Recent updates to federal guidelines may allow you to purchase COVID-19 tests at little or no cost during the national public health emergency. Click for more information on UnitedHealthcare plans. Reimbursement details may vary, depending on your specific plan.

What do I do if I receive a positive test result?

Please discuss treatment options with your health care provider.

If you have worked outside your home for UnitedHealth Group AND you had contact with other employees, customers, clients or members, open a case with EOHSFor U.S employees only.

If necessary, EOHS will initiate contact tracing to confirm if others were impacted by the exposure and will notify them.

When to Seek Emergency Medical Attention
If you are showing any of these warning signs, seek emergency medical care immediately:

  • Trouble breathing.
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest.
  • New confusion.
  • Inability to wake or stay awake.
  • Pale, gray, or blue-colored skin, lips or nail beds, depending on skin tone.
