One of the best defenses against COVID-19 is a clean facility. Key touchpoints and high traffic areas, such as counters, doorknobs, breakrooms and restrooms, will be sanitized multiple times a day. Deep cleaning for all common areas also occurs on a nightly basis including sanitizing mobile and agile shared workstations. Additionally, we are performing deep cleans on weekends consistent with CDC guidelines. Assigned workstations that are free of papers and personal belongings, will have all hard services sanitized on weekends; please clear your work surface for the cleaning service.

Always remember to do your part by practicing good personal hygiene, such as:

• Washing your hands regularly
• Avoid touching your face
• Covering your mouth with your arm when sneezing or coughing
• Wiping down doorknobs, desk and railings with disinfectant 

You will not be required to take PTO or a leave of absence if you are scheduled to work after being diagnosed with the virus and are subject to a quarantine prescribed by the WHO, CDC, federal and/or state public health agency. UnitedHealth Group will continue to pay you your standard hourly rate/salary for your regularly scheduled hours during any public health agency mandated quarantine period. Following the mandated quarantine period, please work with your supervisor and HRdirect to discuss next steps that ensure the safety of you, your family and your workplace colleagues.

If you have not exhibited symptoms or been diagnosed with the virus, but have been exposed and are subject to a quarantine prescribed by the WHO, CDC, federal and/or state public health agency, you will not be required to take PTO or a leave of absence during the quarantine period. Please work with your supervisor to discuss alternative work arrangements.

To limit the spread of COVID-19 and lower its impact in the workplace, and in alignment with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, UHG strongly recommends visitors be limited to individuals whose in-person presence is critical to complete business that cannot be accomplished remotely.
